During his 22-year career at Kaiser Permanente, Mark Punzal developed extensive experience facilitating groups, supporting people through change, and applying trauma-informed practices.
Despite years of helping others, Mark eventually realized he had been going through the motions—at work and at home.
He was doing all the responsible dad things: pickup, dinner, bath, books, and bedtime. Yet too often, it felt like a checklist. He was physically there with his daughter without always being fully present.
Through health-coach training, therapy, coaching, and small changes in how he managed his energy, Mark began shifting from “I have to” to “I get to.”
Today, he helps busy dads stop giving work their best and family what’s left. As the Benicia Chapter Lead for Dads For All, he creates community experiences where fathers can connect, learn, and show up more intentionally.
He brings 22 years of trauma-informed facilitation experience, coach training, and a practical approach grounded in his own journey as a dad.
